Bristol Palin & Donald Trump Jr. Try But Fail To Come For Adam Rippon!

Adam Rippon is skating away from jealous haters!

As we reported, the openly gay U.S. Olympian has gone on record to voice his distaste for Vice President Mike Pencegiven his long record of anti-gay legislation and reported support of gay conversion therapy (which Pence denies).

Though he stands by his comments, the 28-year-old doesn't want his feud to overshadow the Olympics itself. As reported by CNN, he told reporters at a press conference in Pyeongchang, South Korea on Tuesday:

"I don't want my Olympic experience being about Mike Pence."

That same day, Donald Trump Jr. caught wind of Rippon's comments and wrote the following nasty tweet:

Sorry to burst your bubble Donnie Jr., but Pence HAS publicly talked about Rippon this month! In a social media message written last week, the VP said:

Sadly, Donald Trump's son isn't the only conservative figure to criticize the athlete!

Earlier this month, Bristol Palin wrote ablog post where she subtly slams Rippon for refusing to meet with Pence. She dishes:

"The cool thing for athletes to do now, apparently, is to snub any invitations to the White House in order to take a stand against the Donald Trump administration… This is a great effort on behalf of the Vice President to reach out with kindness. In today's crazy political climate, it's nice to be kind — even if we have different political views. I hope one day Adam and the Vice President have a chance to sit down together. In the meantime, I hope Adam — and all of Team USA — do a great job representing our nation well!"

However, the figure skater appears to be totally unbothered by the drama! He wrote on Wednesday:

Adam continues to be his fabulous, awesome self!
